Every parent wants to ensure that their child is well taken care of when they visit the doctor’s office. It is natural that a child may become fearful, and it is Dr. Vane’s main focus to treat every child with patience, kindness and understanding, turning what could be a scary experience into a pleasurable one. Dr. Vane is very experienced at treating all types of dental patients including all ages of children, with a gentle approach that does not involve sedation. Dr. Vane is famous  for her caring approach, and her painless, "tear-free" delivery of local anesthetic. Dr. Vane has been extremely successful at treating children that other dentists can not.

For a child’s first visit to the dentist, the child is shown a video about Dudley the Dinosaur’s visit to the dentist. Then, they are brought in for a cleaning, and exam, with constant positive reinforcement throughout, making it a fun learning experience. It is the goal of Dr. Vane as well as the entire staff to have the child leave smiling.

On return visits, the kids love to sit in our TV room equipped with videos and video games, rather than in the reception area, dreading to be seen. For especially fearful children, nitrous oxide is offered at no charge to ease a child’s worries, and the child can be seated in one of our “TV rooms” with a flat screen TV mounted in the ceiling.
